Our Artisan Contractor Programs provides general liability coverage for specified classes of trade contractors. The program was designed to meet the needs of small to mid-sized subcontracting companies doing business within the trade and construction industry.

The program does not cover contractors who hold an active or inactive General Contractors or Builders license or contractors acting in the capacity of a General Contractor, Builder, Developer or Project Manager. This program is currently limited to the State of California only.

Program Features:

• up to 10% commission
• Admitted, B and B+ rated carriers
• Agency Bill (Small Contractors Program) or Direct Bill (Small-Medium Contractors Program)
• Blanket additional insureds (CG 2010 10/93) included for no additional charge (Small Contractors Program only)
• New ventures acceptable; however, applicant must have at least 3 years of experience in the trade
• No prior coverage or lapse in coverage is acceptable
• Payrolls up to $1,000,000 are acceptable
• Gross receipts up to $3,000,000 are acceptable
• Limits from $100,000/100,000 up to $1,000,000/2,000,000 are available
• Minimum premium $750 - $1,250 depending upon classification
